We are a Canadian piano trio that came together during the Fall 2008 Creative Music Residency in Banff, and decided to continue our collaboration on a full time basis in Toronto. Over the past several months we have pushed the boundaries of traditional performance spaces having given recitals at conservatories, galleries and clubs where one of our highlights was opening for the Toronto indie band The Wooden Sky. Having all been educated at such institutions as Julliard, Oberlin , the New England Conservatory and the San Francisco Conservatory, one of our goals is to deviate from the standard performance practice and bring an eclectic mix of multi-genre music to as many different audiences as possible. Deeply committed to educating today's youth about music we devote much of our time to performances in schools and community centres. We recently returned from summer studies at the Banff Centre and Stanford for some intensive study.
The Silver Line comes from the idea that “every cloud has a silver lining”. No matter what life may bring, The Silver Line reminds us of the simple beauty in musical collaboration.
